Sotto is a quiet, anonymous place to say the things you can't say anywhere else. Anonymity here is a shelter — never a licence. These guidelines apply to every post, comment, and message.
Be honest, not harmful
Share what’s real for you. Don’t use this place to attack, harass, shame, or intimidate anyone — not people here, and not people in your life who can’t answer back.
No hate
Content that attacks people for who they are — their race, ethnicity, religion, disability, gender, or sexuality — is removed, and repeat offenders lose their account.
Protect everyone’s privacy
Never post names, addresses, workplaces, photos of identifiable people, or anything else that could expose who someone is. That includes yourself — and it especially includes others.
Nothing illegal, nothing violent
Threats, incitement, sexual content involving minors, and content facilitating crime have no place here and are reported to authorities where the law requires it.
Struggling is welcome, danger is not
You can talk about hard feelings here. If content suggests someone may hurt themselves or others, our safety team prioritises it, and the app points to real support resources. Sotto is not a crisis service and cannot monitor or locate anyone.
Consent rules private messages
Nobody owes you a conversation. Requests you send should relate to what someone posted; pressure, sexual advances, and repeated unwanted contact are grounds for losing messaging or your account.
What happens when something breaks these rules
Content is screened before it publishes, and anything can be reported with two taps. Human moderators review reports; they can remove content, limit its reach, restrict an account, or suspend it. Every decision is recorded.
